USING STREAM

Three suggested uses of STREAM materials follow. Many additional variations are possible, depending upon your purpose, audience, and time allowance.

  • An Introduction to change in the mathematics classroom

    Using the introductory video for parents, administrators, and school boards to inform and instruct on the issues involved in change would take approximately 2 hours.

    A Short Inservice

    Using the six videos and Video Viewing Guide, one could create a short-term inservice of approximately 12 hours (2 per video).

  • An Extended Inservice

    If used in their entirety, each of the units in the unit materials may take up to 10 hours of inservice time. One such setting where this might be appropriate is a long-term series of meetings, perhaps a few hours every other week.
